Denzil Mims waived with injury settlement Thursday

Denzel Mims has been waived by the Lions due to injury, and he will be a free agent pending his clearance of waivers, according to Field Yates.

Fantasy Impact: Mims came to Detroit thanks to a trade with the Jets in July, but the cost was only a conditional pick. The Lions seem to be moving on before the former second-round pick even sees the field. Mims has 42 career catches, totaling 676 yards in 30 games. Time will tell if another team gives the Baylor product another chance elsewhere once he has healed up.
