According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Carolina Panthers are picking up DT Derrick Brown’s fifth-year option, making his fifth year fully guaranteed.
Fantasy Impact: Brown was a top pick in 2020 but was drafted by a different general manager than the Panthers have now. With a new coaching staff coming in for the 2023 season, it’s a show of confidence in Brown’s ability that they accepted his option. Brown has six sacks and 21 tackles for loss in three seasons and had a personal-best mark of 67 tackles last season in Carolina.
