The Miami Dolphins have emerged as the “frontrunner in trade discussions” with the Houston Texans for quarterback Deshaun Watson, according to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.
Fantasy Impact: A team that dropped out of trade talks with the Texans told Robinson that Houston is seeking three first-round picks and two second-round picks in negotiations. Robinson adds that Panthers, Broncos, and Eagles were also in some element of trade consideration, but Watson’s contractual right to approve the trade destination has impacted trade opportunities. This would indicate that the Dolphins are not sold on second-year QB Tua Tagovailoa, who’s currently QB17 in our ECR. Watson isn’t drafted in redraft leagues currently (QB35) as even if he is traded this season a possible suspension looms.
