According to Kevin Patra of nfl.com, Atlanta Falcons QB Desmond Ridder feels more comfortable in his team’s offense heading into his second year, saying that his “head was spinning” in his rookie season.
Fantasy Impact: With the Falcons letting go of veteran QB Marcus Mariota in the offseason, the path is paved for third-round pick Ridder to lead the team. According to Patra, his leadership is a quality the team admires about Ridder, something needed on a relatively young offense. Ridder said his rookie year was not easy for him, but he still threw no interceptions across his four starts. There’s certainly still room to improve for Ridder in Year 2, but the ascending offense with a strong run game and good play-action potential offers the Cincinnati product plenty of room to learn along the way as he proves his worth as a starter.
