NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that former Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder is scheduled to visit with the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks ahead of this months NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact: Ridder, who came to Cincinnati as what most considered an undraftable prospect, raised is draft stock and the entire Cincinnati program during his four years as a starter. NFL Draft Analysts viewed him as possibly being the first quarterback off the board in the 2022 NFL draft until his poor performance in the College Football Playoff against Alabama where he struggled to get much of anything going offensively. Seattle and Carolina both have needs at quarterback, and Ridder is a quick processor with underrated athletic ability and he’s improved on his weaknesses each season at Cincinnati. Ridder is unlikely to be selected by either Carolina or Seattle with one of their top 10 picks, but if he falls into the second round, don’t be surprised if either of these teams select him.
