Alabama senior wide receiver DeVonta Smith has won the 2020 Heisman Trophy Award. He was the only non-quarterback finalist and edged out Trevor Lawrence of Clemson, Kyle Trask of Florida, and fellow Tide teammate Mac Jones.
Fantasy Impact: Smith had a phenomenal year for the Tide and led all receivers in the nation with 105 receptions, 1,641 yards, and 20 touchdowns. His excellent route running and speed allowed him to compile such gaudy numbers despite his slender frame (6’1″ 175 pounds). He’s the first wide receiver to take home the Heisman since Desmond Howard way back in 1991.
