Jacksonville Jaguars WR DJ Chark has reportedly added seven pounds of muscle after being challenged to get “big and strong” by new Jaguars’ head coach Urban Meyer this offseason.
Fantasy Impact: Chark was approached by Meyer this offseason and challenged to get bigger and stronger to overcome his poor play during the 2020 season. Meyer went on to say, “He’s a big guy that played little last year, and that can’t happen.” Chark accepted the challenge and has since added seven pounds of muscle onto his massive 6’4″ frame, which will allow him to win more one-on-one matchups along the perimeter. The talented wideout enters his fourth season with a fresh start and a revamped physique and vows to never return to how he played in 2020, stating, “That’s definitely the floor for me the rest of my career. I won’t be going back there.” Chark is currently WR30 according to the latest FantasyPros’ ECR, which is phenomenal value considering the upside he flashed in 2019 with 73 receptions for 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns. Trevor Lawrence will only enhance Chark’s value on the field, making him one of my favorite wide receiver prospects in redraft leagues.
