Elijah Mitchell rushed 18 times for 89 yards and caught 1-of-2 targets for negative one yard in San Francisco’s Week 10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Impact: Elijah Mitchell returned from his seven-game absence and ultimately out-carried Christian McCaffrey 18-14, rushing for 51 more yards. Mitchell was significantly more efficient running the ball, and notched 66 of his 89 yards in the second half. However, it was McCaffrey who found the end zone to help put the 49ers on top in the final frame. It is certainly possible that both tailbacks split the workload more frequently the rest of the season, though Mitchell’s minimal involvement in the passing game makes him a far less attractive fantasy option. As such, he’ll be a risky RB3 against the Cardinals for Week 11 in Mexico City.
