San Francisco 49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) did not practice on Thursday but was seen working off on the side, per Nick Wagoner.
Fantasy Impact: The rookie running back was previously diagnosed with a “stinger,” but it appears his shoulder injury is a bit more severe than that. Mitchell has been working off to the side during practice this week but still has a chance to suit up for Sunday night’s home game hosting the Green Bay Packers. With JaMycal Hasty (ankle) out indefinitely and Trey Sermon (concussion) dealing with a concussion, Mitchell could see another 15-plus carries against a vulnerable Packers defense in Week 3. However, he could wind up being a game-time decision, so make sure he’s in your Flex spot and prepare a pivot option if he gets ruled out.
