Elijah Moore did not play in the Jets’ second preseason game against Atlanta on Monday night in New York’s 24-16 preseason win against the Falcons on Monday.
Fantasy Impact: Moore was one of the several veteran starters that did not play for New York against the Falcons. Moore is reportedly fully healed from the injury they kept him out the final six weeks of the regular season. Moore who also missed time with COVID-19 last season had started to have breakout performances before his injury. Moore has also played better, coincidentally or not, when Zach Wilson was out and Joe Flacco and Mike White were in. It is for this reason that even with Wilson’s injury and potential loss of some early season games, Elijah Moore should not have his draft stock discounted. He is poised to take the next step this year and could end up being a fringe WR1 potential. Fantasy managers should take him as a WR2 with WR1 potential in any given week, especially with New York’s tough schedule and likelihood to be playing from behind in a lot of games.
