Gerald Everett caught six of 10 targets for 71 yards against the Chiefs Thursday night.
Fantasy Impact: Everett has strung together two solid games in a row, rewarding fantasy managers who invested a late-round pick on the veteran tight end. His night could have been even bigger, but his gaffe on a red zone target in the fourth quarter reversed the Chargers’ fortunes. Tired after a 26-yard gain, Everett signaled the sideline for a breather but stayed in the game, and Justin Herbert looked for him in the end zone. Too gassed to make an effort on the play, Herbert’s pass was intercepted and returned for a touchdown. Herbert still targeted the tight end after that play, so hopefully their rapport remains strong next week in Jacksonville and as the season progresses.
