According to Mike Klis of 9News, rookie TE Greg Dulcich was the more “natural receiver” early in Denver’s offseason and received first-team reps in both OTAs and minicamp.
Fantasy Impact: Dulcich was drafted out of UCLA in the third round after a productive final college season and high-level all-around athletic testing numbers. In his redshirt junior season, he put up 725 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns while averaging 17.3 yards per catch. Based on early production and roles in the offseason, Klis says he could see TE Albert Okwuegbunam, a third-year player for the Broncos, starting early before Dulcich takes over midseason. If the two split time as pass catchers in 2022, the fantasy value might be minimal in a Broncos offense with an already strong WR core, but Dulcich could be an interesting investment in dynasty leagues at tight end now that QB Russell Wilson is in town. Dulcich dealt with a core muscle injury, but is expected to be back in time for training camp to give Okwuegbunam a run for the starting job.
