Further testing confirmed that Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards tore his ACL during practice on Thursday afternoon. He will miss the entire 2021 season.
Fantasy Impact: The Ravens lost both Edwards and cornerback Marcus Peters to ACL tears on consecutive plays before cutting Thursday’s practice short. Edwards joins J.K. Dobbins (ACL) and Justice Hill (Achilles) on the list of Baltimore running backs who suffered season-ending injuries as of late. Ty’Son Williams will now slot into the starting role while Trenton Cannon gets the backup job. Le’Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman are both candidates to be elevated from the practice squad to fill depth roles, too.
