ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Baltimore Ravens and RB Gus Edwards have come to terms on a two-year, $10 million contract extension.
Fantasy Impact: The deal with keep Edwards in Baltimore through the 2023 campaign. Edwards has been an underrated “real life” runner for a couple of years now, and he’s in position to see the most work of his career in ’21. The departure of Mark Ingram to the Texans theoretically creates more rushing attempts for both Edwards and sophomore RB J.K. Dobbins, the latter of who is going far earlier in spring fantasy drafts. Dobbins is likely the more talented player, but these ADPs should probably be closer than they are as of now. The receiving usage for both backs will be a storyline to monitor throughout training camp.
