Ravens GM Eric DeCosta told the media Tuesday that RB Gus Edwards would remain with Baltimore one way or another in 2021 either by way of a tender or a multi-year deal.
Fantasy Impact: “He’s a Raven, he played his butt off for us (these past three years),” stated DeCosta. Edwards is one of just two players in NFL history to rush for 700 yards and average 5.0 yards per carry in each of their first three seasons. With Mark Ingram now out of the picture, this backfield will be comprised mostly of J.K. Dobbins and Edwards in 2021, with some Justice Hill sprinkled in. While Dobbins is likely the RB1 and could see 50-60% of the snaps on a weekly basis, there is still plenty of room for Edwards to be a fantasy force this upcoming season. He’ll also be one of the most attractive insurance options as well should anything happen to Dobbins.
