NFL Insider Tom Pelissero reports that the Las Vegas Raiders and veteran WR Hunter Renfrow have agreed to terms on a two-year, $32 million contract extension that includes $21 million guaranteed.
Fantasy Impact: The Raiders continue to spend big this offseason to lock up their best homegrown talent, having already reached big contract extensions with DE Maxx Crosby and QB Derek Carr. Renfrow was entering the final year of his rookie contract, so the deal will keep him in Silver and Black through the 2024 season. Renfrow has improved each season he’s been in the NFL, but he broke out in 2021, gaining recognition on a national level as one of the league’s best route runners and finishing the season as the WR11 in PPR scoring formats. Renfrow is just entering the prime years of his career, but he will have some more competition for targets in 2022 as the team acquired superstar WR Davante Adams and TE Darren Waller should enter the season healthy. Renfrow should be a productive WR for fantasy managers again in 2022, but it’s unlikely that he will repeat as a WR1 with more mouths to feed in the Raiders’ passings offense.
