As reported by Ian Rapoport, Ian Thomas and the Panthers have agreed to a 3-year contract worth $16.5 million. He will receive $6.435 million in cash the first year and $8 million guaranteed.
Fantasy Impact: The 25-year-old tight end chose to stay with the team that drafted him versus testing the free agent market. Thomas was not a fantasy asset this past season, catching 18 passes out of 30 targets for 188 yards and zero touchdowns. It is hard to see a path where he becomes fantasy relevant.
