Israel Abanikanda to get a “shot” to contribute for Jets

Israel Abanikanda will get an opportunity to contribute for the Jets’ offense after the team released Michael Carter earlier this week.

Fantasy Impact: Abanikanda was selected by the Jets in the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft. The Pittsburgh product has yet to make his NFL debut, but that seems like it will change soon. Veteran RB Dalvin Cook has yet to do much at all with his limited usage behind starter Breece Hall, so time will tell how much run Abanikanda will get out of the backfield.
