J.C. Jackson, who is listed as doubtful for the Chargers’ Week 1 matchup against the Raiders with an ankle injury, is not expected to play.
Fantasy Impact: Jackson’s absence was expected at this point, and it was a mild surprise that he wasn’t ruled out earlier in the week. He had ankle surgery in mid-August, so the Chargers want to be particularly careful, especially with a Thursday night game against the Chiefs in Week 2. Fantasy managers were always running to start Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller, but Jackson’s absence certainly helps the Raiders’ passing game outlook.
