ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that CB Jaire Alexander and the Green Bay Packers have agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension that will pay the All Pro CB $84 million.
Fantasy Impact: The Packers’ GB Brian Gutekunst indicated earlier this offseason that the team intended to extend Alexander and the team made that a reality on Monday. Alexander has been one of the best CBs in the NFL during the first four seasons of his career and he will now be paid like one. Alexander only played in four regular season games last season due to a shoulder injury, but he was named to 1st-Team All Pro in 2020. He has led the Packers in pass breakups in each of his first three seasons.
