Jake Haener plays well in first NFL live action

Rookie QB Jake Haener completed 10-of-17 passes for 105 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against the Chiefs on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Haener, a fourth round rookie selection by New Orleans back in April, led a go-ahead touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter against the Kansas City defense. Following some opening possession jitters, Haener looked more than capable of hanging in the pocket and delivering passes as needed. It remains to be seen if the Saints will carry three quarterbacks throughout the course of the 2023 season, but the rookie feels like a lock to make the team one way or another.
