Jay Glazer of FOX NFL reports that James Conner has signed a deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact: The signing comes a day after Conner flew in for a visit. The Cardinals were looking to add another RB via free agency or NFL Draft. Conner rushed for 721 yards and six touchdowns while catching 35 passes for 215 yards. Since coming into the league in 2017, Conner has had trouble staying healthy. He only appeared in 13 games last season, missed six games in 2019 and another three games in 2018. He recently had offseason surgery for a minor turf-toe but is expected to make a full recovery by the start of the season. It’s hard to imagine Conner getting a full workload due to his injury history while also splitting time with Chase Edmonds. Conner will be a middling RB3 who shouldn’t be prioritized in drafts.
