Jaguars’ head coach Doug Pederson said James Robinson will be active and play in Jacksonville’s Week 1 matchup against the Washington Commanders according to ProFootballFocus’ Ari Meirov.
Fantasy Impact: Robinson tore his Achilles’ tendon in Week 16 of last season but is amazingly ready to go for Week 1. Robinson will see new faces in the backfield from the last time he played as he joins second-year back Travis Etienne Jr. who missed last season with a Lisfranc injury and rookie Snoop Conner out of Ole Miss. It remains to be seen how much Robinson will be utilized right away coming off such a major injury but his availability and the team’s willingness to play him this soon is promising.
