ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Patriots are officially re-signing RB James White to a one-year, $2.5 million contract.
Fantasy Impact: Jeremy Fowler of ESPN had reported earlier today that the deal would become official and now it has. White should return to his usual passing game role in New England. It’s fair to wonder how much fantasy upside he has with Cam Newton at quarterback, though. Damien Harris and Sony Michel should continue splitting the load on early downs, which means White is only a factor in deep PPR formats entering the summer.
