Per NFL Insider Ralph Vacchiano, WR Jamison Crowder is absent from team OTAs as him and the Jets deal with contract issues.
Fantasy Impact: Crowder, 27-years old, is currently scheduled to make $10M in 2021, of which none is guaranteed. However, the Jets and veteran WR are currently dealing with issues surrounding Crowders’ contract. As a result, Crowder is currently absent from team OTAs. While head coach Robert Saleh has said that Crowder “has a role on this team” the Jets did draft Elijah Moore, who also plays slot, in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. If the two sides can not come to an understanding it would not be a shock to see Crowder released given the money involved and current depth at the position. In 2020, Crowder played in 12 games and totaled 59 catches for 699 yards and six TD’s. Crowder is a solid and safe PPR option in fantasy but his ultimate value would depend on what team he ends up on if he is released.
