The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed restricted free agent RB Jeff Wilson Jr. to a one-year deal.
Fantasy Impact: Wilson appeared in 12 games this season for the 49ers, leading all running backs with 733 total yards and 10 touchdowns. When given the opportunity to shoulder the load, Wilson performed admirably, particularly down the stretch. He saw 25 red zone carries this season compared to just 11 (in 8 games) for backfield teammate Raheem Mostert. With Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon both likely gone, the 49ers could choose to roll with Mostert and Wilson in tandem in 2021, but don’t be surprised if Wilson ends up leading the team in rushing again.
