Jeff Wilson Jr. recorded 15 carries for 45 yards in Sunday’s 23-21 loss to the Patriots. He also caught three of his seven targets for 31 yards.
Fantasy Impact: While Wilson Jr. lead the way with 15 carries, his running mate Raheem Mostert saw one more target. The big number of targets to the running backs can mainly be attributed to the Dolphins having to turn to their backup quarterbacks with Tua Tagovailoa inactive. Furthermore, it’s sounding unlikely that Tagovailoa will play in Week 18. While the Dolphins offense is not as explosive without Tagovailoa, the running backs may continue to see more targets. However, it is still a committee backfield that has been hard to assess as of late. Wilson Jr. is at home in Week 18 when he faces a tough Jets defense.
