According to Turron Davenport of ESPN NFL Nation, the Tennessee Titans have agreed in principle on a four-year extension for DL Jeffrey Simmons.
Fantasy Impact: The Titans are closing in on keeping their star defender after rumors the team may have to cut him for cap purposes. Simmons has emerged as a top defensive lineman, averaging 54 tackles and 7.5 sacks over the last two seasons, earning consecutive All-Pro nods. The Titans keep a key piece of the defense as they continue to retool going forward.
