According to Jake Trotter of ESPN, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski reiterated that RB Jerome Ford is the team’s starter going forward following the Nick Chubb injury, despite the signing of RB Kareem Hunt.
Fantasy Impact: This is probably not just classic coach speak, as Ford won the job from Hunt over the offseason. The Browns specifically signing Hunt likely has more to do with his familiarity with the system instead of signing another RB and catching him up to speed. Hunt could still play a role similar to his in the past, but Ford should get the majority of the ground work. He should be a priority acquisition off waivers and considered a weekly play going forward.
