Nick Kosmider of the Athletic reports that Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy was QB Teddy Bridgewater’s most frequent target during OTAs.
Fantasy Impact: According to Kosmider, Jeudy and Bridgewater have shown great chemistry during OTAs. Bridgewater connected with Jeudy for a touchdown pass and targeted him frequently. Broncos HC Vic Fangio cautioned not to read too much into the instant chemistry between Bridgewater and Jeudy. “It takes forever, but it’s a process that gets better every day,” Fangio said. “You can think of some of the all-time quarterback-receiver tandems and they’ll tell you that even in their seventh, eighth, ninth year together they were still growing. It’s a daily happening that can keep improving. You can see strides early. I don’t know that those strides have been made yet, but hopefully, that’s where all of our quarterbacks can get with all our receivers.” Jeudy led the Broncos in receiving in 2020, hauling in 52 catches on 113 targets for 856 yards and three touchdowns across 16 games in his rookie campaign. The 2020 first-round pick struggled with drops last season and owned an 8.8 drop rate, good for 12th in the NFL. Jeudy is currently 37th among all wide receivers in the latest expert consensus rankings and is a high-upside WR3 for upcoming fantasy drafts in 2021.
