Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that the Bears are signing former Lions TE Jesse James to a one-year contract.
Fantasy Impact: James registered 14 receptions on 22 targets, 129 receiving yards, and two touchdowns last season for Detroit. Playing behind T.J. Hockenson kept him off the fantasy radar, and he now joins an already crowded TE room in Chicago. Jimmy Graham was able to haul in eight touchdowns last year, and the Bears are counting on Cole Kmet to build on his rookie season. As such, James would likely only become fantasy relevant in the event that both Graham and Kmet are sidelined.
