The Jets’ D/ST allowed 17 points while collecting two sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery, and a safety in New York’s 40-17 win against the Dolphins in Week 5.
Fantasy Impact: The Jets’ defense knocked out starter Teddy Bridgewater on Miami’s first play of the game and then took advantage of rookie quarterback Skyler Thompson. Rookie Sauce Gardner knocked out Bridgewater leading to the safety and recorded his first career interception as well. New York’s D/ST has five sacks, five interceptions, and a fumble recovery in the last two weeks and are playing their way into fantasy relevance. They have Green Bay, Denver, and New England coming up in three increasingly winnable games against QBs (outside of Rodgers in Green Bay) that aren’t scaring anyone right now.
