Jimmy Garoppolo completed 13 of his 21 pass attempts for 154 yards and one touchdown in the 49ers’ Week 2 victory versus the Seahawks. He added four carries for five yards and a rushing touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: Garoppolo took over for Trey Lance late in the first frame, who was carted off with an ankle injury and is out for the season. It’s a brutal blow for the second-year QB who has started in barely four games. Fortunately for the 49ers, Garoppolo didn’t miss a beat in his return, as he recorded one touchdown through the air and another on the ground. His 154 passing yards left a lot to be desired, though there really wasn’t a need to throw the ball with a big lead the entire game. Garoppolo will take on the Broncos for Week 3, where he should be considered a low-end QB2 for that one.
