Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon will not play in the team’s first preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday, per head coach Zac Taylor.
Fantasy Impact: Mixon will not suit up against the Bucs in the first of three preseason games. A lot of coaches have begun to hold their star players and notable first-stringers out in preseason games to avoid the risk of injury. Especially considering the extensive foot injury Mixon dealt with in 2020, playing it safe is to be expected. Samaje Perine and rookie Chris Evans should see the majority of carries against the Bucs on Saturday night.
