Los Angeles Rams QB John Wolford (illness) underwent an appendectomy Friday morning after waking up with stomach pain, effectively sidelining him for the next 10-14 days, per Omar Ruiz.
Fantasy Impact: Wolford stepped into a couple of big games for the Rams in 2020, including a competent performance in a clutch situation against the Arizona Cardinals to launch the team into the playoffs. Wolford started under center against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card game but was injured on a rushing attempt after colliding with a Seahawks linebacker in the first quarter. Matthew Stafford’s presence as the starting quarterback should keep Wolford on the bench in 2021, barring injury.
