John Wolford took the majority of practice snaps this week and is preparing to start against the Seahawks on Saturday in the Rams Wild Card game, according to Ian Rapoport.
Fantasy Impact: Rapoport also mentioned that Jared Goff, who’s been practicing with a broken thumb, has thrown the ball well and is pushing to play. So far, head coach Sean McVay has remained coy on who will start at quarterback but given Goff’s limitations it would make sense that Wolford gets the nod. The un-drafted signal caller from Wake Forest guided the Rams to a Week 17 victory over the Cardinals to clinch a playoff spot. He was 22-for-38 for 231 yards and one interception while picking up 56 rushing yards on six carries. Wolford has some mobility and the Rams had success with a few designed runs against the Cardinals in the final week of the regular season.
