According to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, Buffalo Bills S Jordan Poyer, who is recovering from a hyperextended elbow, was deemed “not quite there yet” on his return by head coach Sean McDermott.
Fantasy Impact: Poyer, an All-Pro safety in 2021, has been absent from practices since the start of August with an elbow injury. At age 31, Poyer has still been a valuable piece to Buffalo’s pass defense, tying a career-high five interceptions last season and adding on nine pass deflections and 93 total tackles. At this rate, Poyer may have to miss the start of the season, a tough blow for the Bills’ defense, which currently goes on average as the DST1 in fantasy drafts this year.
