The Kansas City Chiefs are releasing Josh Gordon on Tuesday but remain open to him returning to the team in the future according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Fantasy Impact: Gordon leaves Kansas City on good terms, something he has rarely done with any other franchise so that’s progress. Gordon has reportedly “shown great character on the field and in the community since he got to Kansas City” which is great for Gordon as a person. The former All-Pro has failed to produce for fantasy purposes, catching 5-of-14 targets for 32 yards and one touchdown in just five games last season. The 31-year-old will now look to catch on with another squad with the regular season starting September 11 for most teams.
