Josh Jacobs, who is questionable for the Raiders’ game against the Chargers in Week 13 with a calf injury, will work out pre-game to see if he can go, but there is optimism that he will play.
Fantasy Impact: Jacobs’ situation is one of the more bizarre ones in fantasy sports. He was truly questionable with a calf injury last week against the Seahawks, aggravated the injury during the game, returned to the game, and wound up touching the ball 39 times for 303 yards. He faced this exact same situation last week – he needed to work out pre-game to see if he could play, there was optimism, and he wound up suiting up and putting up historically great numbers. In other words, even with the obvious concern, fantasy managers should plan on Jacobs suiting up and leave him locked and loaded in their lineups, of course. With that said, calf injuries are among the most notoriously tricky ailments to manage, so fantasy managers should have a backup ready just in case Jacobs determines that he can’t go after warmups.
