Chargers RB Joshua Kelley rushed for nine yards on seven attempts and caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Sunday’s defeat to the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact: While Kelley had a very inefficient night running the ball, Chargers offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi recently claimed that he has improved as a pass blocker. He has been competing with Justin Jackson and rookie Larry Rountree III for touches behind Austin Ekeler. Through the first two preseason games, Kelley has totaled 15 rushes for merely 28 yards. Despite his improved pass blocking, he’ll need to post a breakout performance in the preseason finale in Seattle to have a real shot at moving up the depth chart.
