Ian Rapoport is reporting that incoming rookie Justin Fields is managing epilepsy. He went on to say that it has not affected his football play and doctors believe that he will outgrow it.
Fantasy Impact: While this is certainly a shocking headline, there’s no reason to believe that this will affect Fields’s draft stock. Epilepsy can start at any age but is typically diagnosed before age 20. Fields, 22, said that this has not affected his football play which leads to believe that it’s something he has been aware of for some time. Fields is expected to go as one of the top-five quarterbacks off the board in April’s draft and his rushing upside will make him a hot target in fantasy football if he earns a starting job in his rookie season.
