Giants first-round pick Kadarius Toney has had a frustrating start to his NFL career. The wide receiver dealt with cleat issues and a minor injury during rookie minicamp, then skipped three weeks of voluntary workouts. He finally signed his contract on Friday but left practice early on Tuesday after “slipping multiple times.” Furthermore, Toney has solely worked with the second-string offense, meaning he has yet to get involved with the Daniel Jones-led unit.
Fantasy Impact: Undeniably, Toney’s career is off to a slow start and he has struggled to stay on the field. Coaches still see him as the versatile and electric player they drafted, but it might take some time for that to be reflected on the field. After all, missing practices and not working with the first-team offense are two factors that do not bode well towards his involvement come Week 1.
