According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, former TCU and USFL WR KaVontae Turpin is set to sign a three-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
Fantasy Impact: Turpin signing with an NFL team would be a win on its own for spring football, but him signing a multi-year deal is huge for spring football. Turpin had 921 all-purpose yards en route to his USFL MVP, leading the league with 540 receiving yards while adding 129 on the ground and five total touchdowns. He also played special teams, leading the league in punt return average. He’ll likely find a quick way onto the field in that facet. The deal is expected to be signed on Thursday, but the Cowboys will have to make a roster cut in order to do so. Turpin did have legal issues in college that caused him to be kicked from the team.
