Minnesota Vikings rookie QB Kellen Mond completed 6-of-16 pass attempts for 53 yards and rushed five times for 25 yards in a 33-6 loss against the Denver Broncos in preseason Week 1 on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact: Mond logged only three practices after coming off the league’s Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the week, so his production is relatively impressive. He ran many RPO-designed plays, which he sold more effectively due to the mobility he possesses. He displayed mobility on designed runs and within the pocket to avoid pressure, a skill set that starter Kirk Cousins lacks. Mond needs to improve his throwing accuracy but could be featured in heavy personnel rushing packages in 2021.
