Ken Walker took eight carries for 88 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 against the Saints.
Fantasy Impact: It sounds like Rashaad Penny will miss the rest of the season after suffering a fractured tibia per Ian Rapoport. A few series after Penny suffered the injury on Sunday, Walker ripped off the best run of his long career with a 69-yard touchdown run that gave the Seahawks the lead in the fourth quarter (before Taysom Hill gave the Saints the lead back with a long touchdown run of his own). It won’t be official till Monday to know if Penny will be out for the season, but that sounds likely to be the case. Walker jumps into arguably high-end RB2 value with RB1 upside moving forward. The one downside is DeeJay Dallas dominated the passing down work Sunday, but Walker has still shown to be capable in the passing game and with the way Geno Smith has looked so far this season, the Seahawks probably won’t be in too many situations the rest of the season where they’ll be trailing by enough to have to abandon the run game. Props to those who stuck with stashing Walker instead of quickly dropping him early.
