According to Jeff Nowak of Audacy Sports, rookie RB Kendre Miller (knee sprain) will travel with the New Orleans Saints to their joint practice with the LA Chargers. He’ll do his rehab there, and there is “a chance” he plays Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: This is a bit of a surprising development given that the original hopes were that he would be ready for Week 1. It seems more likely that the Saints won’t play Miller in what’s ultimately a meaningless preseason game given his injury history – offseason surgery to repair his MCL and meniscus – especially if they want to preserve his health for the incoming Alvin Kamara suspension. Overall, it’s a good sign for the health of Miller’s knee and his prospects for the season, though the worry early in his career is the risk of re-injury.
