According to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the Eagles have listed five running backs as co-starters on their initial unofficial depth chart.
Fantasy Impact: The five co-starters are Kenneth Gainwell, Rashaad Penny, Boston Scott, Trey Sermon and D’Andre Swift, who were all listed alphabetically by surname. All reports and indications coming out of Eagles’ offseason camp have been that the team loves all of its running backs and has been using them in different ways. Unless one RB manages to separate themselves in-season, the Eagles could end up being a tough RB-by-committee to decipher for re-draft in 2023. Though, the RB who gets the high-value touches – red zone looks and receptions – could be the best fantasy asset. Swift and Gainwell have proven to be strong pass-catchers, and Gainwell saw most of the action in two- and four-minute drills in 2022. Their short-yardage back is less clear, though Sermon and Penny are the largest backs on their roster.
