Kenny Golladay’s hamstring continues to keep him on the sideline, missing valuable time getting accustomed to his new quarterback and a new playbook.
Fantasy Impact: Golladay is currently being drafted as the WR25 in half-PPR scoring, but there continues to be concerns regarding his hamstring. Unfortunately, soft tissue injuries can have the tendency to linger into the season. The expectation is the high-priced free agent will be ready to go Week 1, which is ultimately all fantasy managers should be worried about. But there are a lot of new things for Golladay to get used to and the missed practice time could lead to a slow start for him and the rest of the Giants’ offense. Ultimately, New York paid the former Lion a lot of money to be their alpha-receiver and fantasy managers should expect them to treat him like that once he’s fully healthy. He has top-20 upside, but there are risks associated with his health and the lack of quality play from Daniel Jones. Fantasy managers will need to weigh those risks vs. the reward of being heavily targeted in the Giants offense.
