Las Vegas Raiders RB Kenyan Drake returned to practice and is expected to have a “significant role,” according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic.
Fantasy Impact: With former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels now the head coach in Las Vegas, expectations are that he’ll carry over the Patriots’ running-back-by-committee approach. If this were the case, Drake becomes an interesting option to look at. He led the team’s running backs in yards per touch, 1.4 higher than RB Josh Jacobs. And though Jacobs had his best receiving season in terms of targets, a large percentage of that work came while Drake was out with injury. Drake could see his “significant role” in both phases of the offense, making his PPR price tag of RB57 a fascinating late-round swing.
