According to Kevin Patra of NFL.com, RB Kenyan Drake is expected to join the Las Vegas Raiders for training camp, but won’t be at full speed.
Fantasy Impact: Drake was held out of minicamp while recovering from his ankle injury from last season. Drake himself said he isn’t up to 100% yet, but he’ll be cleared to get back to work soon. Under new head coach Josh McDaniels, Drake could potentially see an uptick in production in 2022. Coming from the New England Patriots tree, McDaniels’ offenses in the past heavily featured pass-catching running backs like the timeless RB James White. At this point in his career, Raiders RB Josh Jacobs has shown very little involvement in the passing game, paving the way for Drake to pick up third-down duties last season. Currently going at RB58 in PPR leagues according to FantasyPros, Drake with health could reach flex potential in PPR leagues if he gets an increase in volume, particularly in a revitalized Raiders passing game.
